MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION

New Member Enrollment for the 2012 season is now open!! We look forward to a great 2012 season!  Click here for the 2012 Enrollment Form

Rather than pre-package a weekly selection of vegetables for member pick-up, One Acre Farm allows members to hand-select their weekly share, based on what is available from that week's harvest.  We believe that this method is more preferable for our members in that it allows you to select your share items rather than be stuck with vegetables that you may not like or have never tried.

The growing season begins in early-to-mid June and extends through mid-November.  We aim to provide vegetables for a 24-week season, with two off-weeks; in other words, you will receive vegetables for 22 weeks and we give the farm a break from harvesting at two different weeks in the season.  Each week, you will receive approximately six to eight different items, based on what is in season at that time and ready for harvest.

Early-summer items may include: Lettuce, Broccoli, Cabbage, Peas, Swiss Chard, Collards, Fava Beans, Turnips, Cauliflower, Argula, Bok Choy, Carrots, Radishes, Beets, Kohlrabi

Summer items may include: Heirloom tomatoes, Peppers (bell and hot), Zucchini, Eggplant, Onions, Summer squash, Beets, Potatoes, Cherry tomatoes, Green Beans, Cucumbers, Tomatillos, Okra, Melons, Garlic

Fall items may include: Winter squash (acorn, butternut, spaghetti), Broccoli, Cabbage, Brussel sprouts, Cauliflower, Sweet Potatoes, Lettuce

When we say six to eight items, for example, we do not mean that in the summer you will get one tomato, one pepper, one summer squash, etc.  Rather, the six to eight items you could receive might include: 4 tomatoes, a bunch of leafy greens, 3 summer squash, a bunch of beets, 1 eggplant, several bell peppers, 2 onions and a handful of hot peppers.  Some weeks, the share may be more or less bountiful, depending on the weather and the harvest.

2012 Pricing*

Share (returning members): $600

Share (new members): $625

* A Note on Our Pricing:  We previously offered two share types, a full share and half share.  We found that most other area farms offer only one share type, which makes for easier planning and an easier harvest.  We believe that our share feeds, on average, two adults.    Our share price of $600 for the 22-week season comes out to $27/week.  We charge a one-time $25 fee for new members, which is used for the purchase of your farm bag and a CSA-oriented cookbook.

Payment Information

One Acre Farm currently only accepts payments by check.  Please make all checks out to: One Acre Farm, LLC and mail to: One Acre Farm, LLC, 5419 Amberwood Lane, Rockville Maryland 20853
